River News

A former Charlotte Observer journalist Richard Haeg, working with the Catawba River District, spearheaded development of a news and information website about a community-driven environmental makeover of the endangered district near Charlotte, N.C. Content was generated by volunteers, freelancers, and participation was invited fromthe local parks and recreation department, agricultural extension service and the energy company. The organization has since expanded to embrace the Green Teacher Network Charlotte. GTNCharlotte.org
