KRFP

To train citizen journalists to produce a daily half-hour news program for low-power KRFP-FM station. A companion website allowed listeners to tune in to the latest broadcast in streaming audio, download podcasts of previous shows, and hear unaired, expanded reports.

  • Radio Free Moscow Board to Support Citizen Newscast (May, 2006) - After one year of operation, KRFP’s News Department got a huge vote of confidence when the station’s Board of Directors pledged to raise at least $5,000 towards continuing the citizen-produced newscast in Moscow, Idaho, for the coming year.   • Evening Newscast Launches; Volunteers are Trained (November, 2005) - Radio Free Moscow launched daily afternoon newscasts for KRFP 92.5 FM in Moscow, Idaho, in late September, delivering world, national and local news provided by volunteer reporters, Pacifica Radio and others.
